The weather was kind to the 65 competitors and the course presented in excellent condition despite the wet summer. The team of junior organisers headed by Gerry McIntyre and Bob Beach were at hand to help the day run smoothly, and all competitors enjoyed the friendly atmosphere.
In the under 10 event, Aidan Kovenklioglu of Sudbury won with a fantastic score of 38 (6 over par) on the 9 Hole Green Course. Rob Parsons of Iver shot 44 to finish second and Michael Liu from Pinner Hill was third with 46.
The Under 13 event was won in a thrilling play off when Meghan MacLaren of Wellingborough beat Alfie Bull of Richings Park with a birdie 3 on the first extra hole having both shot 75 in normal play. Meghan had a slight advantage over Alfie having been a member at Wexham before moving to Northampton several years ago. Louise Phillips of Goring and Streatley finished third with 79.
The Under 18 category and main event was won by Steve Smith of Wentworth and Wexham with a fine 66. Asa Phillips (last years champion)of Goring and Streatley was second with 69 and Mark Kirby of Richings Park shot 71 to finish third. Wexham Park 's Josh Turner put in a notable performance shooting 75 of a 16 handicap to take second in the nett competition.
